Lisa Genova

Acclaimed as the Oliver Sacks of fiction and the Michael Crichton of brain science, Lisa Genova has captured a special place in contemporary fiction. Her stories are equally inspired by neurological conditions and our shared humanity. Her novel Still Alice was adapted into an Oscar-winning film starring Julianne More and Alec Baldwin. She is the New York Times bestselling author of the novels Left Neglected, Love Anthony, Inside the O’Briens, as well as Remember: The Science of Memory and the Art of Forgetting. Her TED talks on Alzheimer’s disease and memory have been viewed over eleven million times. Lisa will be reading from her new novel, More or Less Maddy and will be in conversation with Dan Osborne, CEO of Connecticut’s Gilead Community Services. Books will be available for purchase and signing. The event is free. In addition, Priority Tickets, including a copy of the book and front seating, are available at $20 each, in advance and online only here. Church of the Holy Trinity, 381 Main, at 1 PM.

Betsy Lerner

Betsy Lerner published her first novel, Shred Sisters, at age 64 while documenting her journey on social media on TikTok. Her non-fiction titles include The Forest for the Trees, Food and Loathing and The Bridge Ladies. With Temple Grandin, she is the co-author of the New York Times bestseller Visual Thinking: The Hidden Gifts of People Who Think in Pictures, Patterns and Abstractions. She is a long-time literary agent in New York City. Betsy will be reading from her novel Shred Sisters. Books will be available for purchase and signing. Wesleyan RJ Julia Bookstore, 413 Main at 11 am.

Sarah Moon

Sarah Moon is the critically acclaimed author of novels for middle-grade and YA readers, including Sparrow (age 12+) and Middletown (age 12+). She is the coeditor of The Letter Q, a young adult anthology. A teacher, college counselor and Middletown native, she lives and works in Brooklyn with her wife and their kiddo. Sarah will be reading from her recently released novel Family Week (age 8-12) and leading a workshop for young writers. Seating is limited and priority will be given to tweens and teens. Books will be available for purchase and signing. Church of the Holy Trinity (Small Chapel), 381 Main from 2:30 to 4 PM.

Bob Shea

Bob Shea is an award-winning author and illustrator of your children’s favorite books. His titles include Chez Bob, the popular Ballet Cat series, The Dinosaur VS. … series, and the runaway smash hit, Unicorn Thinks He’s Pretty Great. He also wrote Who Wet My Pants?, illustrated by his friend Zach Ohora. Bob will lead storytime in the children's section of the bookstore. Wesleyan RJ Julia Bookstore, 413 Main at 10 AM.

Join us for a casual reader meet-up & bookswap, with coffee and morning treats from our favorite Middletown bakeries! Here's how it works: bring those titles you loved but are ready to relinquish, and bring a bag for those new-to-you books to carry home. Young Writers Workshop

Sarah Moon will lead a workshop for young writers, and share from her own work as a YA and Middle Grade author.  Seating is limited at this event and priority will be given to tweens and teens. From 2:30 to 4 pm at Church of the Holy Trinity (Small Chapel), 381 Main.
